Mahjong Success Circle
Mahjong is a game built for four. Our Circles bring players together beyond the classroom, for regular games, shared rituals, and lasting friendships.

What is a Circle?
A Circle is a small, regular group of Mahjong players who meet to play, learn, and connect. Unlike a casual game night, a Circle has continuity — the same people, the same table, building something together over time.
Each Circle is formed from players at a similar level, so the game stays balanced and the conversation stays meaningful. Whether you join an existing Circle or help form a new one, you're stepping into a ready-made community.
Circles meet regularly, fortnightly or monthly, in a relaxed, social setting. There's no pressure to perform. The goal is simple: show up, play well, and enjoy the company.
4 Players
Every Circle is built around a core group of four, the perfect number for a full, balanced table.
Regular Sessions
Circles meet on a consistent schedule, giving you a rhythm and something to look forward to each week.
Matched Levels
Players are grouped by experience so the game stays engaging and the learning stays relevant.
Built to Last
Circles aren't one-off events. They're ongoing, designed to grow into friendships that extend beyond the table.
Benefits of Joining a Circle
The classroom teaches you how to play. The Circle is where you learn through repetition, conversation, and the particular magic of a game played with people you know.
Accelerated Progress
Nothing improves your game faster than regular play. Circle members develop intuition, speed, and strategy.
Real Table Conversation
You will start to read players, spot patterns, and discuss decisions after hands. The table becomes a place of genuine strategic exchange.
Consistent Company
You know who you're playing with. That consistency creates comfort, trust, and eventually — friendship.
A Ritual to Return To
In a busy life, a regular Circle gives you something to anchor to, a dedicated time, a familiar place, and people who are genuinely glad you're there.
Belonging
Mahjong has always been a social board game. Joining a Circle means becoming part of something with history, inside jokes, and a shared language.
Cultural Connection
Regular play deepens your appreciation of the game's heritage, the etiquette, the rhythms, and the rituals that make Mahjong unlike any other board game.
How It Works
Joining a Circle is simple. We match you with players at your level, set a schedule that works for the group, and handle the rest.
Who Can Join
Circles are open to players who have completed at least Level 1 (Mahjong Foundation). You need to know the tiles, the rules, and the basics of hand-building.
Session Format
Each session runs for approximately 2 to 3 hours. You will play multiple rounds, discuss strategy between hands, and close with a brief recap of the key moments.
Meeting Frequency
Most Circles meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly, on a day and time agreed by the group. You can join an existing Circle with a matching schedule or help form a new one.
Setting
Sessions are hosted in an informal setting, tiles provided. You can order your tea on the table in relaxed comfortable environment.
Group Size
A full Circle is four players. We sometimes run sessions with a rotating fifth member to allow flexibility and keep the group active when someone can't make it.
Commitment
There's no lock-in. Circles work best when members attend consistently, but life happens, just let the group know in advance and we will manage around you.
